Why I Started Blogging?

Hey, lovelies! I wanted my first ever blog to reflect as much of the real me as possible. So here it is. What better way to celebrate the launch of Glossy Lives than to talk about how and why the idea of blogging actually occurred to me?

I will have to admit that blogging is not what I had thought of a few months ago. BLOGGING IS NOT EASY, people!! Okay, so I am not trying to repel you from opting to pursue blogging. Instead, I am trying to uncover the truth that blogging can be fun but it requires determination, time, focus and efforts. I am a newbie so pardon me if I do not cover the BIG things.  Blogging is more than just writing and publishing a post but it comes with so many opportunities and priceless experiences. Here I uncover the reasons that actually compelled me to start my own blog.

My love for writing has nothing but intensified throughout these years. I get a feeling of completeness when I write. Opening up my laptop and being a keyboard warrior to assemble and transfer my thoughts just like at this moment makes me feel the sense of fulfillment by writing about what I am currently loving. I have also considered writing as a way to comprehend my responses to various circumstances. However, it has recently occurred to me at many events that I expected to impart my affection for words to the world.

I firmly believe that if there’s one person in the world who will benefit from something I write, then I will write and write every day until the right words hit the spot. I want my words to heal and help and to continue expressing myself through whichever form that suits me best. Certainly, there will be days when I don’t have a craving for writing my thoughts out. However, that doesn’t nullify the energy that developed my interest into writing a blog. I personally find it an extraordinary incitement for the brain. For me, blogging seems to be the correct way to reflect this passion of mine.

Being a beauty junkie myself, I love expressing about what I use, love, dislike, and wish. This is something I have found to be very exciting and creating a whole blog on my passions (beauty, skin care, healthy food, and writing) has taken me to this level.

Growing up using those amazing brands has always intrigued me about their prominence. However, it took me a while to realize that I can actually use this enthusiasm and eagerness to transfer it into a hobby or even a part-time job. One of the main reasons why I started blogging is my aim to connect with some of my favorite brands. Once you succeed in connecting and inspiring people it is obvious to have countless followers.

No doubt having so many followers is going to be great for my blog in terms of attracting brands. For this to happen, I understand how important it is to be ”ME” to enable my readers and followers to find me just as unique. I hope to associate with brands I have used personally and blogging is a create platform to get to that point.

I have always been an avid admirer of  having diversity in life. Thus, learning new skills is something that has helped me thrive in my life as an all rounder. With the unending eagerness to learn more skills, I felt more attracted to starting my blog as it has provided me numerous opportunities to learn valuable skills such as Content Management Applications, Photoshop, Photography, and much more.

Moreover, before I started blogging, I had very limited knowledge of things like Google Adsense, Analytics, Affiliate Marketing and even SEO. Realizing that blogging requires much more than just writing and publishing my posts, I came to know how this integrates different skills into making my blog a win. I am so proud of myself for being able to learn and apply these skills.

Undoubtedly, blogging is a way to grow as a person as well as enable one to share opinions and experiences which can be helpful to people out there. I love and enjoy blogging as to me blogging is fun. Moreover, it is also a great way to get social and connect with new people every day. Before I got serious about doing this, I was never this active on social media, especially Twitter. It is when I conducted extensive research on how I can increase traffic to my blog that I realized the importance of my presence on social media to promote my brand. Twitter and Instagram again made me step out of my cocoon and push me to display my thoughts and work in an innovative manner.

Connecting with such great bloggers has been an amazing experience. And believe you me, blogging community is filled with some extremely talented yet so helpful people. This continuous support from people in the industry has given me the wings to continue with my passion and bring the best out of me to the world.

These are the reasons why I started blogging. I am equally eager to know what compelled you to embark on the journey of being a blogger. Feel free to share your stories in the comments section below =)
